Do you use Google Translate, DeepL et al. when translating?

Machine translation has come a long way in the last year, and just about everyone has used Google Translate at least once in their lives. Most of the world’s translators and translation agencies use machine translation tools as supporting software to some extent.

At Luisa, we have worked with the University of Tartu to develop our own neuro-translation tool for key translation fields, based on our 30 years of translations. The tool is trained to understand the source text and provide a translation based on our previously edited texts. Neuro-translation is just one aid in a highly technical translation industry. Translating today is very different from what it was even five years ago. However, truly high-quality translations are impossible without human intervention. This will certainly be the case for Estonian for at least the next five years.

It should be noted that all of these technical solutions are expensive investments, which we make in the name of fast, high-quality end products brought to you by our team of professional translators and editors. We provide translations in more than 200 target languages, 90% of which are currently unfeasible with such tools.
